Three TV channels focused on meditation and relaxation will be launched in Russia in October.
According to Kommersant, this follows the award of l0-year licences by Roskomnadzor to Slow TV, a company owned by the producer and director Yuri Grymov (40%) and New Media (60%).
The latter is 85% owned by STK Soyuz Aleksander Volovnik and 15% by Aline Kurakina, the general director of the DTH platform Orion Express.
The channels in question will be Noise, Slow and Relax and they will initially be offered in HD in Orion Express’ basic package.
In due course, the three channels, which will are likely to cost viewers an additional $1 a month to receive, will also be distributed by other pay-TV operators.
