The business news-focused RBK-TV has joined a growing list of Russian channels banned in Ukraine.
In a statement, the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council of Ukraine says that the move has been made “in the interests of information security” and on the grounds that the channel does not comply with the European Convention on Transfrontier Television and current legislation in Ukraine.
It follows monitoring undertaken by the council between July 25 and 29 and August 1 and 4 this year.
The list of banned Russian channels in Ukraine includes the First Channel, RTR Planeta and Rossiya 24.
