August 7, 2014 13.33 Europe/London By Robert Briel

CTAM Europe has unveiled the full EuroSummit’14 program me. The event will be held in Copenhagen on September 18 and 19.

The CTAM Europe EuroSummit’14 will showcase top industry speakers such as: Mike Fries, president and CEO of Liberty Global; Reed Hastings, CEO of Netflix; Ben Pyne, president of global distribution at Disney Media Networks / The Walt Disney Company and joined by moderators including Raymond Snoddy; CNBCs anchor Carolin Roth; Joeri Van Den Berg, author of How Cool Brands Stay Hot and Branding to Generation Y as well as BBC’s anchor Ros Atkins.

On Day 1 CTAM Europe’s chairman, Eric Tveter, will open the EuroSummit’14 and introduce the Day 1 keynote speakers, Ben Pyne and Markus Christen, INSEAD professor of marketing, who will share their views on the change in the media landscape and on tapping into new trends in the industry.

“We are very excited about the strong line-up of speakers and the great content planned for the Summit. It’s a significant challenge to make media companies successful in a time when new technologies are on the horizon, consumer behavior is changing and the internet giants are entering our space. We are hoping that all the attendees will walk away with some exciting and tangible ideas from Copenhagen,” commented Tveter.

Day 2 will kick-off with two leading iconic figures from the industry: Mike Fries and Reed Hastings, interviewed by Carolin Roth from CNBC.

The day will unfold with the annual CEO Forum, where cable and content CEOs will discuss top industry issues. The CEO panel will include CEOs such as Bill Livek, CEO of Rentrak; Brian Sullivan, CEO of Sky Deutschland; Jon Sichel, MD of UK and EMEA at Scripps Networks International; Matthias Kurth, chairman of Cable Europe; John Rossiter, MD of SPT Network CEE, and Andrew Barron, COO of Comhem.

This will be followed by two concurrent sessions on The Power of Strong Brands by Klaus-Dieter Koch, managing director of Brand Trust GmbH, and a panel discussion: Harness the Power of Your Programmers.

Krisztina Homolay, managing director of CTAM Europe, and Eric Tveter will then wrap up the event with their closing remarks.
