EU regulators have put a temporary halt on their review of Liberty Global’s proposed purchase of Dutch cablenet Ziggo.
Reuters reported anti-trust regulators to be waiting for further information on the deal from the US entity.
Last month it was reported Liberty Global had submitted concessions to the European Commission to secure approval for its proposed takeover.
Already Liberty Global has offered to sell its premium channel business Film1. It has also emerged that Liberty has promised not to block so-OTT platforms such as Netflix from having access to its network for a period of four years.
The EC has set a deadline of October 17 for taking a decision on the acquisition.
