Multimedia Polska prepares for converged services

August 4, 2014 10.48 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Arris E6000Multimedia Polska is planning to increase its channel density ahead of the deployment of new converged services.

The cablenet is upgrading to the ARRIS E6000 Converged Edge Router for Next-Generation IP Content Delivery. Its moving from the ARRIS C4 CMTS. The upgrade has been managed by ARRIS and local partner VECTOR.

“Advances in technology are radically altering subscriber demands and requirements. Our strategy is focused around the level and quality of services that we provide, and our main goal is to guarantee subscribers high quality television and fast and reliable Internet access. The implementation of ARRIS E6000 CER will have a significant impact on our services progress and standard,” said Krzysztof Jaskolski, technical department director, Multimedia Polska Group.

“Multimedia Polska Group is a valued customer of ARRIS in Poland and we’re proud that they continue to turn to ARRIS for their IP content delivery needs. As the industry’s leading CCAP solution, the ARRIS E6000 CER is capable of maximising the return on the initial investment because of its ability to scale and it will also reduce operating costs without compromising on performance,” said Steve McCaffery, Senior Vice President, EMEA & Asia Pacific, ARRIS.

The ARRIS E6000 CER is based on the Converged Cable Access Platform (CCAP) specification that enables operators such as Multimedia Polska Group to optimise IP content delivery and to deploy DOCSIS, PacketCable, DSG/ADSG, and PacketCable Multimedia services.
