KKR Group has strengthened its presence in Serbia, where it already owns Serbia Broadband (SBB), the country’s leading cable operator.
Quoting a report in Informer, Balkans.com says that this follows the acquisition of a 49% stake in Ringier Digital AG, whose assets in Serbia include the websites Blic, Alo and 24sata.
Although Informer quotes a figure of €180 million for the deal, none is supplied by KKR Group in its official announcement about the deal, dated July 14.
Informer also says that KKR Group is close to reaching an agreement with Greece’s Antenna Group, which has TV interests in Serbia.
