Swiss video-on-demand (VOD) platform operator Viewster has signed partnerships with licence holders Nippon Television Network, ADK and Kadokawa Media Factory to stream four Japanese animated series across Europe day and date with Japan.
All four titles will be available to view free of charge with ads on Viewster for internet users in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, with additional availability throughout the region on a title-by-title basis.
The line-up comprises the series Sengoku Basara: Judge End, Samurai Jam – Bakumatsu Rock, Momokyun Sword and Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun.
“Anime is one of the most exciting and globally enjoyed genres of video entertainment being produced today,” Robert Franke, director of content and productions at Viewster, said in Zurich. “We are excited to be bringing anime fresh from Japan produced by some of the best in the business directly to European fans.”
