German commercial TV group ProSiebenSat.1 has extended its contract with Studiocanal Deutschland.
Through the new agreement, ProSiebenSat.1 secures the exclusive free-to-air TV rights to cinema productions from US film studio Lionsgate for the production period between 2015 and 2017.
The agreement includes the movie adaption of the first part of young adult trilogy Chaos Walking and the movie adaptation of the best-selling novel The Glass Castle starring Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence.
The rights cover ProSiebensat.1’s free-to-air TV channels in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The agreement also contains pay-TV and video-on-demand (VOD) rights.
