A+E Networks has launched History on Viasat in the Baltics.
As of the beginning of this month, the channel is being offered in Viasat’s Gold and Silver packages on the DTH platform in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
Commenting on the development, Christian Hoeyer, Nordic sales director, A+E Networks UK, said: “We are pleased to be working in partnership with Viasat to bring History to even more viewers in the Baltics. The History line-up of premium content will make the network a great addition to Viasat’s current offering in the region.”
Jette Nygaard-Andersen, executive VP of MTG´s Nordic and Baltic pay-TV operations, which owns Viasat, added: “We are delighted to partner with A+E Networks UK to bring History to our platform. The channel’s premium factual entertainment content is the perfect addition to our diverse and extensive programming and will further strengthen our rich offering of documentary programmes.”
History has been available in the Baltics since 2010.
