Brian Sullivan, CEO of Sky Deutschland, will continue to head the German pay-TV broadcaster.
At the end of last week, the 52-year-old American extended his contract by two years until the end of 2016, reports German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung without mentioning a source, adding that the chairman of Sky Deutschland’s supervisory board, James Murdoch, asked him for the renewal.
Sullivan who’s been CEO of Sky Deutschland since April 1, 2010 wants to take the Munich-based company into the black figures. With 3.73 million customers, Sky Deutschland achieved a turnover of €421 million in Q1 2014, but remained in the red with a net loss of €53 million.
