Liberty Global has announced a Europe-wide review of its media buying. The operator of the UPC, Unitymedia and Virgin Media brands is undertaking a European media agency pitch with a view to consoliating the business across the region with a single agency by January 1, 2015.
“As part of this process, and in line with established Group policy, we must ensure the services we receive are commensurate with our needs and continue to be best-in-class within a rapidly evolving industry,” said a company spokesperson.
The account is estimated to be worth up to €150 million a year.
Prior to its acquisition, Virgin Media’s account was handled by Goodstuff and Manning Gottlieb OMD.
