Antenna Hungária has begun testing what will be Hungary’s fifth DTT multiplex.
In a statement, the company says this follows on from the launch of the first phase of the fourth national multiplex in June.
The fifth multiplex will from this autumn allow Antenna Hungária to improve the offer of its MinDig TV Extra pay-DTT service. In its first phase, it will employ 34 transmitters – 19 large/medium and 15 low-power transmitters – to achieve 85% coverage.
Antenna Hungária adds that the second phase will follow the switch off of Serbian, Ukrainian and Romanian analogue services next year.
