Close to two in three Czech households (57%) now have TVs that allow them to watch HD broadcasts, according to the latest results of a survey undertaken by Mediarsearch for the Association of Television Organisations (ATO).
The percentage of homes that receive TV channels in HD has meanwhile increased by 19% since 2012 and now stands at 34% of the total.
The majority of the 34% – 12% each – receive HD via DTH or DTT, with the remaining 10% by cable.
The survey also shows that three in four Czech homes now owns a flat screen TV or a TV with HD resolution, 57% a TV with HD Ready or Full HD, 8% a smart TV and 3% with a TV enabled to receive 3D signals.
