Ragnar Kårhus has been named as the new chief executive officer of Telenor Broadcast Holding AS and Canal Digital AS, effective as of August 1.
Kårhus replaces Patrik Hofbauer, who was recently appointed new CEO of Telenor Sweden.
He joins from Telenor Group Industrial Development where he was senior vice president. Kårhus joined Telenor in 2000 and has held the position as CFO in several Telenor companies and deputy CEO of the Nordic region. From 2007 to 2011, he served as CEO of Telenor Norway.
Kårhus has served as CFO for various Norwegian companies before joining Telenor.
