Telekom adds ProSiebenSat.1 VOD to Entertain

June 17, 2014 11.33 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Nutzung von Entertain und EndgeraetenGermany’s national telco Deutsche Telekom has taken the video-on-demand (VOD) services operated by commercial TV group ProSiebenSat.1 on board its IPTV platform Entertain.

Customers can now directly access the catch-up TV services from Sat.1, ProSieben, kabel eins, sixx, Sat.1 Gold and ProSieben Maxx as well as online video library maxdome.

The six catch-up TV services offer more than 1,000 pieces of content available free of charge, for example missed TV programmes in full length. In total, Entertain now provides content from around 40 channels in its catch-up TV section, for example from ZDF, Sport1, Syfy, TNT Serie and Disney Junior.

At maxdome which has been integrated as an app into the Medienwelt (media world) section, Entertain customers can sign up for the subscription VOD package which grants access to more than 50,000 titles for a monthly flat fee of €7.99.

The possibility to order single titles from maxdome is, however, not made available to Entertain customers. This is still only provided by competitor Videoload operated by Telekom. Entertain customers can rent movies, series and documentaries at Videoload for 48 hours. A download-to-own function will be added shortly.
