The CME-backed Romanian commercial broadcaster Pro TV is preparing to launch a new VOD service.
Quoting Pro TV’s general manager Aleksandras Cesnavicius, Hotnews reports that it will be known as Pro TV Plus and make its debut in mid-July.
Cesnavicius added that the service would offer major programmes produced for the local market by Pro TV, including news and entertainment, as well as content from abroad.
Significantly, it would be funded by advertising, unlike Pro TV’s current on demand service Voyo, which is subscription-based.
