TiVo is proving increasingly popular with Ono’s customers, with 407,000 already opting for the service as of late May.
This, according to the Spanish cable operator, was equivalent to over half of its pay-TV subscriber base.
TiVo offers viewers over 120 linear channels, 43 of them in HD, and is gaining significant numbers of new users each month.
Commenting on the service, Patricia Ferruz, the head of residential at Ono, said: “we have reached a record TiVo users who daily and exclusively enjoy the most advanced television service, thanks to a single fibre-optic network in Spain, which allows us to bring our customers the most innovative and differentiated services in the market. TiVo is changing the way people consume television in homes and still has enormous potential ahead. We are sure that it will consolidate its position as the leader in pay-TV in our country.”
