SPI International has announced the appointment of Tamás Fülóp as the new country manager for SPI in Hungary.
Starting June 1, he has been responsible for the distribution, marketing and business operations of both FilmBox movie channels and the soon-to-be-launched in Hungary SPI thematic channels including FightBox HD, FashionBox HD, DocuBox HD, 360 TuneBox, Fast&FunBox and Erox, the adult channel brand in the SPI portfolio.
Fulop has over 12 years management experience in the pay-TV business, cable distribution, VOD services, telecommunication and advertising and previously held leading positions at HBO, TV2 and Viva+.
Commenting on the appointment, Berk Uziyel, executive director of Filmbox International, said: “We are very excited to bring on board such an experienced media professional as Mr. Fulop. I strongly believe that his thorough knowledge of the TV business will contribute to the growth of our FilmBox brand not only in Hungary but also in the entire CEE region”.
