The Russian DTH platform Tricolor TV is preparing to launch a Multiroom service.
According to TelecomDaily and AKTR, the service will employ hardware supplied by the GS Group.
They add that research by Tricolor TV shows that 85% of households in major Russian cities have two or more TV sets.
Multiroom is already provided on all the DTH platforms operated by Orion Express, as well as by the DTH platform Raduga TV, in each instance charging their subscribers R199 (€4.28) a month.
However, the DTH platform NTV-Plus has yet to introduce Multiroom.
On the other hand, it is offered by the majority of wired services, including those operated by Rostelecom, Beeline TV, Akado, Rikor TV, ER Telecom (Dom.ru) and MTS.
