The premium music channel Classica gets a make-over with new programming formats, a new on-air design, new features, online services as well as subtitles in six languages on May 28.
Classica, the international channel for audiovisual classical music, is closely connected with and partner of famous artists such as Christian Thielemann, Daniel Barenboim, Anna Netrebko, Renée Fleming, the Berliner and Wiener Philharmoniker as well as the opera houses of La Scala Milan and the Royal Opera House Covent Garden.
The relaunch on the May 28 starts with 100 new productions and 45 world premieres during the first months, including live transmissions from the Salzburg Festival, the Arthur Rubinstein Piano Master Competition in Tel Aviv and the Open Air Event Klassik am Odeonsplatz in Munich with Mariss Jansons. The new programming structure will consist of newly developed formats like the weekly event On Stage, specials and thematic slots.

Classica is available worldwide and is distributed in 27 countries on 37 international platforms. The channel is a subsidiary and partner of Unitel, producer of audiovisual classical music worldwide and part of the group of companies of Jan Mojto.
