Poland’s National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) has fined the broadcaster Polsat PLN50,000 (€11.930) for transmitting a programme that could have a negative impact on minors.
It has also taken action in collaboration with Ofcom over an episode of the programme Embarrassing Bodies, broadcast by TLC in July 2013.
Polsat was penalised for showing an episode of Malinowski and Partners entitled The Butcher outside the hours of 23.00 and 06.00, when it should have appeared.
Ofcom has already found the episode of Embarrassing Bodies violated its Broadcasting Code.
It is also examining a programme named Deadly Women shown by Investigation Discovery and will consider the two programmes together when deciding on a punishment.
