ANGA COM welcomes visitors from 70 Countries

May 20, 2014 07.34 Europe/London By Robert Briel

ANGA_COM_BreitbandgipfelANGA COM starts today, Tuesday May 20. With 450 exhibitors from 34 countries the exhibition ties to the previous year’s record mark.

The number of advance reservations has also reached the same record level as in the previous year. In 2013, the total count of visitors was 17,000. Of the pre-registered participants 1,900 have also booked congress tickets this year which is a 12 percent increase compared to previous year.

“We have advance reservations from 70 countries. There will be representatives from all continents; the countries of origin range from Brazil to South Africa to Australia,” said Dr Peter Charissé, Managing Director of ANGA COM.

“The countries with the largest visitor delegations are the Netherlands, Great Britain, France, Belgium, Switzerland, and the USA. Due to high demand we have expanded our popular and sold-out evening event by 500 tickets so that we will welcome 2,200 guests to ANGA COM Night. The stage is set for a great exhibition week!”

With topics from traditional television reception technology to latest fiber optics and IP networks to multi-screen and TV Everywhere solutions ANGA COM covers the entire product range of broadband and video distribution.

The diversity of topics between broadband and media is also reflected in the numerous cooperations for the programme of the accompanying congress: This year, in addition to cooperating with numerous industry associations (BITKOM, BREKO, Deutsche TV-Plattform, SCTE, VATM, VPRT, and ZVEI), ANGA COM also cooperates with Medienfrum NRW, an event sponsored by the federal state government of North Rhine-Westphalia. Kick-off is a joint opening with a welcome address by NRW´s Prime Minister Hannelore Kraft.

For the first time, ANGA COM features an additional, practical usage-oriented presentation platform for all exhibitors and visitors: In addition to the regular congress panels, exhibitors present their products, projects, and solutions. Presentations and demonstrations in this newly created Speakers‘ Corner will provide a hands-on approach. It is located on the exhibition boulevard in hall 10.1 and can be attended free of charge by all exhibition visitors and congress attendees, no additional registration is required. The agenda of this practice forum is available online.

Throughout the entire event, tickets for the exhibition and the congress can be booked online www.angacom.de/en/visitors/tickets.html or directly on site. The admission ticket to the exhibition costs 22 Euro , congress tickets start at EUR100.
