UPC Polska has acquired the local triple play telecom operator Telco Lublin for an undisclosed fee.
Telco Lublin reaches over 53,000 homes and currently has over 16,000 RGUs. It was previously part of a company named NPlay, which provides telecom and other services.
Commenting on the acquisition, Jerzy Golebiowski, a member of the board at UPC Polska and responsible for development, said:
“The acquisition of Telco Lublin is the next stage of the consolidation of the fragmented cable market in Poland led by UPC and a step towards further development of the Lublin region. Now, with the Telco Lublin team, we will focus on the completion of the integration process, the aim of which will be to provide the greatest value to customers in Lublin on the basis of UPC’s most modern and digital entertainment.
“We constantly analyse the market for attractive opportunities for further development, and the completed transaction is an example of the consistent implementation of this strategy”.
