German commercial free-to-air TV channel RTL Nitro will become available in analogue on the cable networks of German cities Bremen and Bremerhaven from the end of May 2014.
In Bremerhaven the analogue carriage will commence on May 22 with Bremen to follow on May 27.
RTL Nitro will replace Bayerisches Fernsehen, the regional TV channel of public broadcaster ARD’s Bavarian affiliate Bayerischer Rundfunk, which cable customers can continue to receive in digital.
With movies, series, sitcoms and original productions, RTL Nitro mainly targets a male audience. The entertainment channel has been available in digital on the cable networks of Bremen and Bremerhaven since 2012.
