The Smart TV Alliance is partnering with AFDESI to organize a European TV Hackathon on June 16-17 in Paris, France.
Hackers from all over Europe will be challenged to envision Future TV Contents by conceiving, designing and building TV/video apps and experiences, using technologies, platforms, content and knowledge contributed by the Smart TV Alliance partners.
The 2014 Smart TV Alliance Hackathon address professionals of all kinds, including coders, but also front-end and motion-graphic designers, content visionaries, business visionaries, students, storytellers, filmmakers and others Participants will be free to implement their visions of the TV of Tomorrow however they wish. They will be judged primarily on the originality, elegance and usefulness (viability, scalability, monetizability etc.) of the app or experience they create.
Developments will be made using the Smart TV Alliance SDK.
First Prize: A TV Set for every Team’s Participant + your application available on Smart TV Alliance Partners’ App Store; Second Prize: Your application available on Smart TV Alliance Partners’ App Store. Third Prize: Prize of Excellence referenced by Smart TV Alliance partners
