Switzerland’s national telco Swisscom has gained 52,000 new customers for its IPTV platform Swisscom TV in Q1 2014, corresponding with a growth by 22.3% within 12 months to a total of 1.05 million customers (March 31, 2013: 860,000 customers).
In Q1 2013, however, the increase was stronger with 69,000 new IPTV customers.
The new Swisscom TV 2.0 proposition with enhanced features which launched in early April 2014 has won around 30,000 customers by the end of April, most of them having transferred from the previous Swisscom offering.
The number of fixed-line broadband subscribers rose by 22,000 to a total of 1.8 million in Q1 2014.
