Romania’s Romtelecom and Cosmote are to undergo a major rebrand this autumn.
According to ZF, this follows a decision at an extraordinary meeting of the shareholders of the Greek incumbent OTE, which holds a majority share in both companies, to amend a brand licence agreement between Romtelecom and Cosmote (licensees) and Deutsche Telekom (licensor).
As a result, the two companies will start using the T-Home and T-Mobile brands.
Although the date for the switch has yet to be conformed, it is unofficially believed to be September 12.
Deutsche Telekom is currently the majority shareholder in OTE, holding a 40% stake in the company.
