Dutch independent telecom operator Scarlet is rolling out its IPTV service nationwide in the Netherlands.
The service is offered over ADSL, VDSL or the Reggefiber FTTH network, and requires a minimum bandwidth of 12 Mbps. Scarlet TV offers a total of 122 channels in its basic package, of which 28 in HD and 58 channels are available for viewing on tablets in the customer’s home. Also 114 radio stations are included.
In addition, viewers can add the three Dutch HBO premium channels as well as Fox Sports Eredivisie and other Fox Sports channels. The basic TV package adds EUR11.11 to the monthly bill.
Quad play packages start at EUR54.95 per month for TV, broadband with a wireless modem, free Sim cards for multiple family members and 100 minutes each month to fixed and mobile numbers. The top-tier costs EUR69.95.
In the recent past, Scarlet acted as a reseller of KPN’s Digitenne DTT product. Following the introduction of Sparql IPTV, Scarlet’s launch of its IPTV service is the second roll-out within a week of a new IPTV provider.
