Turner Broadcasting has appointed Humphrey Black to the newly created role of VP Media Distribution, EMEA.
Black will lead distribution relationships and negotiations with broadcasters, cable operators and wireless and interactive services providers; evaluating the impact of new technologies and distribution partners on the business across the EMEA region.
Black will report to Giorgio Stock, president of Turner Broadcasting EMEA and will be based in the head offices in London.

Black joins Turner Broadcasting from The Walt Disney Company where he was director of channel distribution, EMEA; responsible for the licensing of Disney’s channels and branded VOD services as well as providing strategy and developing best practice for local and regional sales teams and delivering key distribution deals. Previously he also held roles at Virgin Media and Spectrum Strategy Consultants.
