The Russian DTH platform NTV-Plus has received approval from the country’s Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) to buy the company Red Media.
According to Vedomosti and AKTR, Red Media currently produces 13 TV channels and the revenues of its parent company amounted to R757 million (€15.17 million) in 2012.
Its net profit stood at R67.4 million.
NTV-Plus is part of Gazprom Media and the longest-established satellite TV operation in Russia, having made its debut in 1996.
