Telenet will appoint Dieter Nieuwdorp as the new SVP strategy and corporate development on May 1, 2014.
He will also become a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and report directly to John Porter, CEO of Telenet.
Dieter Nieuwdorp has worked at the Telenet legal department as VP corporate counsel and insurance since March 2007. In his new role as SVP strategy and corporate development, he will take charge of Telenet’s strategy department, succeeding Vincent Bruyneel who will become the new VP strategy and corporate development at Liberty Global as of May 1, 2014.
Dieter Nieuwdorp will combine management of the strategy department with his current role as secretary of the board of directors at Telenet.
“Telenet has several talented managers in its ranks. Following Dieter Nieuwdorp’s promotion, I want to stimulate internal promotion. Dieter is in fact a Telenet employee pur sang. He has been closely involved in all major decisions over the past years. This means he has extensive knowledge, which makes him the ideal candidate to fill this role.” said John Porter, CEO of Telenet.
Vincent Bruyneel’s current tasks will be taken over by two other Telenet SLT members: investor relations will be CFO Birgit Conix’s responsibility as of May 1, Ann Caluwaerts, SVP corporate affairs and media, will manage the corporate communication department as of May 1.
