As one of the first operators in the world, Dutch incumbent KPN has successfully carried out a LTE broadcast on its 4G network in the Amsterdam ArenA football stadium.
Sports journalists in the stadium covering the match between Ajax and ADO, were given a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for this pilot, in which KPN broadcast the match PSV – Feyenoord simultaneously via LTE. Initial reactions to this test were positive. KPN said it plans to expand this test during the coming period with the Amsterdam ArenA and technology partners Samsung, IBM, Ericsson and Qualcomm.
