German technical service provider Media Broadcast will use its transmission facilities for motor sports coverage for the first time.
The subsidiary of French TDF group has been selected by Wige Broadcast for the distribution of the world-feed signal of motor sports series DTM and ADAC GT Masters.
The world-feed produced by host broadcaster Wige in HD quality will provide national and international rights holders with coverage of the qualifying rounds and races from eight events each. They will take place in selected motor sports arenas in Germany and Europe between April and October 2014.
For the transmission of the world-feed, Media Broadcast will make use of its SNG fleet. The SNG trucks are fully MPEG-4 compliant and support the distribution of AV signals in DVB-S2 standard via satellite to rights holders and TV broadcasters.
