Viewster starts collaboration with Nippon TV

April 10, 2014 14.15 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Blue Sky Nippon tvViewster has started a collaboration with Nippon TV, bringing simulcast streaming of anime series in Europe.

Viewster is adding two anime series that will be shown exclusively on the platform a day after first airing on Japanese TV. The collaboration with Nippon TV includes the third season of cult series La corda d’oro and the adaption of The World is Still Beautiful.

The first episodes of each title are already available on Viewster and new episodes will be added on Mondays in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, France, Belgium and the Netherlands on www.viewster.com and on Viewster’s mobile apps. (The World is Still Beautiful is not available in France, Belgium and the Netherlands).

“Anime series have a huge frenetic fan base all over the world,” commented Viewster CEO Kai Henniges about the new collaboration.

“We can now make available the freshest anime series to our audiences in Europe. Content that our audience is crazy about: a rare program that you don’t find elsewhere, free, legal and new.”
