Poland’s leading cable operator UPC Polska has begun trialing a 500 Mbps internet service.
The fastest access speed available anywhere in the country, it is being made available to customers in Krakow, Luk, Lodz, Pultusk, Zakopane and the capital, Warsaw.
UPC Polska already provides over 2.5 million homes within reach of its two-way network internet access at up to 250 Mbps.
As of the end of 2013, 75.4% of its subscribers opted for internet access speeds of 30 Mbps or higher.
UPC Biznes meanwhile offers internet access speeds of up to 300 Mbps. UPC Polska customers interested in taking part in the 500 Mbps trial, for no additional charge, have until April 22 to inform the operator.
