German sports channel Sport1 will show the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2014 following a rights deal signed with World Basketball Association FIBA covering TV, internet and mobile TV.
The championship will take place from August 30 to September 14 in Spain in a total of six cities. Sport1 will transmit at least 18 matches live on free-to-air TV, internet and mobile TV.
The favourite team is current title holder USA which will arrive in Spain with Kevin Durant and other stars from the NBA.
