Germany’s national telco Deutsche Telekom has commenced offering Entertain to go, the mobile version of its IPTV platform Entertain, on its mobile network.
Customers can receive around 40 TV channels on tablets, smartphones and laptops, for example on trains, at the airport or in the beer garden. The subscription price remains unchanged: Entertain to go costs €4.95 per month (minimum contract period: 1 month), the first month is free of charge.
Entertain to go launched in July 2013, but has only been accessible on the customers’ local in-house Wi-Fi networks for legal reasons so far. In addition to the Telekom’s mobile network, Entertain to go can also be accessed on Telekom’s public WiFi hot-spots.
At the same time, the channel line-up was increased: The additions are ProSieben Maxx, DMAX and joiz. The service also comprises large public and commercial channels such as ARD, ZDF, 3sat, RTL, Sat.1, ProSieben and VOX.
