The merger of the Polish DTH platforms n and Cyfra+ will conclude this summer when the two operators of the resulting service nc+ themselves become a single entity.
Quoting Arakdiusz Mierzwa, the director of communications and PR at nc+, Wirtualne Media reports that this will be in accordance with the various stages of the legal merger of the platforms, the schedule of which envisaged such a move at the end of H1/beginning of H2 this year.
Cyfra+ was operated by Canal+ Cyfrowy and n by ITI Neovision prior to the creation of nc+ in March 2013.
The two have since continued to operate nc+, though until now as separate entities.
NC+ is owned by Canal+ (51%), TVN (32%) and UPC Polska (17%).
