German cable operator Tele Columbus will offer the new women’s channel TLC to its customers from its launch day on April 10, 2014.
The free-to-air channel operated by Discovery Networks Deutschland will be available to viewers as an unencrypted digital service without additional fees. With real life series, documentaries and German original productions, TLC primarily targets women between 20 and 49 years of age.
“At launch it’s particularly important for TLC to reach as many viewers in Germany as possible,” said Alberto Horta, director distribution and commercial strategy at Discovery Networks Deutschland. “The partnership with Tele Columbus as one of Germany’s largest cable operators is an important building stone in our distribution.”
