Lagardère Entertainment creates LED

April 8, 2014 13.05 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Remi TereszkiewiczMIPTV 2014 – CANNES.Lagardère Entertainment, a subsidiary of Lagardère Active, has created a division at the convergence of two worlds: television and new media.

Lagardère Entertainment Digital’s, or LED’s, objective is to develop a digital strategy for the French audiovisual production group.

Rémi Tereszkiewicz, director of LED, will be in charge of promoting and developing digital opportunities alongside producers at Lagardère Entertainment, and building an ecosystem of partners to develop these offers.

“LED is a fantastic opportunity for Lagardère Entertainment to demonstrate its ability to shift paradigms—from producing content destined for home viewing, valued by our linear clients, to the individually-tailored offers driving the digital world,” said Takis Candilis, president of Lagardère Entertainment.

“I have placed my utmost confidence in Rémi Tereszkiewicz to carry out this task and lead our productions into these new territories. It’s a fascinating adventure open to producers today and LE should explore every opportunity available in this new world.”

“I am honored and excited to share my experience with the group’s talent,” says Rémi Tereszkiewicz, head of LED: “Telling stories well, producing passion and emotion—now more than ever these are essential in addressing new ways of consuming video content, and they are part of Lagardère Entertainment’s greatest strengths.”
