Swiss TV24 secures movies and series

TV24, the new commercial Swiss TV channel launching on May 12, 2014, has acquired movies, series and documentaries from rights holders and producers such as ZDF Enterprises, ProSiebenSat.1, Beta Film, BBC Worldwide and Telepool Zürich.

The film packages include titles like Aimee & Jaguar, Liebe und Tod auf Java, München 72 – Das Attentat, Das Lied in mir, Copie conforme, Les bien-aimés and Bis zum Horizont und dann links.

The series line-up will comprise, for example, international productions Being Erica and King as well as German TV series Typisch Sophie, Mit Herz und Handschellen, Polizeiruf 110 and Letzte Spur Berlin.

The documentaries and reportages acquired from ZDF Enterprises and BBC Worldwide include titles such as The Incredible Mr. Goodwin, Steve Jobs – Billion Dollar Hippy, Mark Zuckerberg – The Real Face Behind Facebook, Myth Hunters, Modern Marvels, Life, Australia With Simon Reeve, Jimmy’s Food Factory and Nigellissima.

TV24 will also show news programmes, sports, music and original productions. The channel which will be offered in HD quality from the start will be available on Switzerland’s largest cable network UPC Cablecom and on smaller networks.
