German cable operator Kabel Deutschland has integrated content from German news channel N24 into the catch-up TV service of its video-on-demand (VOD) portal Select Video.
Viewers are able to watch selected N24 programmes at any time in full length at no extra charge, for example documentaries and reportages like Zeitreise mit Stefan Aust or Drive.
N24 is the 50th channel on the cable operator’s catch-up TV service. Besides free-to-air channels like RTL, Sat.1, ProSieben, VOX, Eurosport and Sport1, pay-TV services such as Fox, Syfy, TNT Film, Romance TV and History are part of the line-up.
Select Video is currently available to 3.6 million customers. The service which also contains a premium video library with blockbusters and an adult movie section is accessible through a separate button on the remote control of the current HD-PVR and HD set-top-box models issued by Kabel Deutschland.
