Italian free-to-view satellite platform TivuSat has declared it now has 2.1 million smart cards activated.
The Eutelsat-delivered sat caster said that more than 1,700,000 had installed the service. It is at its most popular in Calabria, in which 15% of households have chosen the platform, followed by Molise (14.1%), Liguria (13.6 %), Valle d ‘Aosta (13.2%), Basilicata (12.4%) and Sicily (10.4%).
TivuSat users can receive 62 TV channels (some in HD), including national broadcasters RAI and Mediaset, TV Deejay (L’Espresso) and TV 2000. International broadcasters BBC World News, Euronews, France 24, TV5 Monde, Deutsche Welle, Bloomberg, Al Jazeera, CCTV News and NHK are also available from the Hot Bird neighbourhood.
