Sky Italia is to launch its own version of Sky Atlantic following a new output deal with HBO.
Versions of Sky Atlantic already run in the UK and Germany.
The new channel will debut with the fourth seasons of Game of Thrones and Boardwalk Empire. Other series including True Detective, starring Matthew McConaughey, and Banshee will make their debut over the next few months.
HBO content will also be available on Sky Go and Sky On Demand.

Scrosati added that HBO would sit alongside Italian production that Sky would create and acquire.
