MTG has failed to reach an agreement with Lattelecom over the distribution of TV3.
As a result, reports DB, the Latvian incumbent will no longer have the right to offer the channel on its interactive TV service from April 2.
MTG is now urging viewers to instead watch TV3 on the video portal Latvija TVplay and TVplay apps on mobile devices or other TV platforms.
These are options already used by over 115,000 people each week.
MTG has been present in Latvia since 1998 and currently offers viewers the proprietary channels TV3, 3+, TV6, LNT, TV5 and Latvijas Muzikas.
Earlier this year, it reached an agreement with Baltcom, the country’s leading cable operator, over the distribution of TV3.
