March 26, 2014 09.40 Europe/London By Robert Briel

maxdome-mobile-appGerman VOD service Maxdome has licensed Inside Secure’s downloadable DRM Fusion Agent software to protect streaming video content delivery for the maxdome mobile portal.

Integrated into its new mobile apps for iOS and Android devices, the Inside DRM Fusion Agent software provides the critical security and high quality viewing experience maxdome needs in its mobile apps. This will enable the thousands of video titles in the maxdome mobile content portfolio to be available on millions of smartphones and tablets throughout Germany.

“With the new mobile apps, maxdome offers its customers high-class entertainment on all important platforms. Our iOS apps, Android apps and mobile portal enable content discovery on smartphones and tablets, creating an exceptional seamless user experience for a multitude of devices,” said Andreas Heyden, managing director of maxdome, a subsidiary of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG.

“The Inside downloadable DRM Fusion Agent software is a proven solution that has been approved by all the major content providers and enables us to expand our business to new target groups.”

The maxdome mobile portal offers SD and HD feature films, series, comedy shows, TV highlights, exciting documentaries, children’s videos and music concerts from the leading major studios.

“Our DRM Fusion Agent continues to strengthen its position as the gold standard among mobile DRM solutions. Today’s announcement is the latest example of its acceptance by the leading over-the-top service providers,” said Dr. Simon Blake-Wilson, Inside executive vice president of the mobile security division.

“We welcome maxdome into our family of DRM Fusion Agent customers. We are pleased maxdome has chosen our solution to provide the critical content protection required for their mobile content delivery offerings.”
