DTT signals now reach 96% of the population of Bulgaria, according to Georgi Todorov, the country’s deputy transport minister.
Quoted by Novinite, he added that those unable to do so are located in remote areas and due to difficult terrain.
Todorov also said that the Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Finance and National Association on Municipalities in Bulgaria are all monitoring the use of BGN660,000 (€336,126) allocated to ensure the country achieves complete DTT coverage.
Bulgaria completed the transition to digital broadcasting at the end of September last year.
However, some 100,000 viewers, mostly in remote areas, then found themselves unable to receive DTT signals.
