March 20, 2014 13.10 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Ed CarrollAMC Networks has announced senior management changes at Chellomedia.

Eduardo Zulueta, Managing Director of Chello Multicanal, expands his role to include oversight of Chello Latin America. He will divide his time between Chello Multicanal’s Madrid office and Chello Latin America’s Buenos Aires and Miami offices.

Alejandro Harrison, formerly head of Chello Latin America, has been named president, Business Development for AMCN Chellomedia. His responsibilities include expanding AMCN Chellomedia content into new territories and onto new platforms, and identifying M&A opportunities. He will continue to be based in Buenos Aires.

Zulueta and Harrison will continue to report to Ed Carroll, AMC Networks COO (pictured above). Dermot Shortt, managing director of Chello Zone, Mike Moriarty, managing director of Chello Central Europe, and Bruce Tuchman, President, AMC/Sundance Channel Global, will also continue to report to Carroll.

AMC Networks completed its acquisition of Chellomedia from Liberty Global last month.

“Eduardo and Alejandro are strategic, seasoned executives,” said Carroll. “These new leadership roles will help us take advantage of their vision and operational skills as we continue to align and expand our global operations.”

AMCN Chellomedia’s operating businesses include: Chello Central Europe; Chello Latin America; Chello Multicanal; Chello Zone; the ad sales unit Atmedia; and the broadcast solutions unit Chello DMC.

Chello Multicanal is one of the largest producers of thematic TV channels in Europe, with networks distributed in Spain and Portugal including Canal Hollywood, Canal Panda, Canal Cocina and Odisea.

Chello Latin America operates a collection of networks distributed primarily throughout Latin America, including MGM, Casa Club TV, El Gourmet and Europa Europa.
