Foxxum pre-integrated on MStar platform

March 20, 2014 13.49 Europe/London By Robert Briel

ibox FOXXUMThe Foxxum smart TV portal solution now is pre-integrated on MStar software platform for digital home.

MStar Semiconductor, a semiconductor company for display and digital home solutions, and smart TV portal technology specialist Foxxum have announced that they have agreed on a partnership to offer a complete turnkey solution to their customers. This collaboration provides TV/STB manufacturers, operators and end brand customers a rich portfolio of smart TV apps and features.

In addition to the premium content services such as Youtube, Hulu and Netflix implemented on MStar’s platform, the localised and international premium content delivered by Foxxum are all integrated in the platform.

Through the Foxxum smart TV portal solution, MStar customers are able to quickly upgrade their devices to state-of-the-art smart TV products, including personalized content recommendation, global content portfolio, Second Screen scenarios, multiple user management and utilization analytics. Due to pre-integration of a highly developed Foxxum application framework, all possible smart TV functions including design customization can be implemented directly and within a very short time.

“MStar is a leading chipset vendor for connected TV and we are delighted to be a part of their software platform for digital home, bringing premium content and smart TV features to millions of devices worldwide, ” said Ronny Lutzi, CEO at Foxxum.

“By reducing development cost and time to market for device manufacturers while at the same time adding new possibilities to monetize their own end user relations, our entire business will gain a very strong momentum in 2014. This naturally includes our content partners who will extend their reach to any MStar client brand connected with us.”
