The Russian cable operator ER Telecom has announced the launch of a new second-generation set-top box.
According to the company, which uses the brand name Dom.ru, it will offer a range of new and innovative services for Dom.ru TV including multiscreen, catch-up, VOD and multi-level content search.
It adds that sales of the box, which was developed by a number of Russian and foreign companies including V2 Studios (UK) and Humax (South Korea), will start next month.Dom.ru TV is currently received in more than 400,000 homes, or every sixth subscriber to Dom.ru’s services.
Its offer includes 159 digital TV channels, 50 of which are in HD.
